VirtueMart is a shopping cart system design specifically to be used with the Joomla! CMS. Like Joomla! VirtueMart is an open source system with a large support network and a large uptake around the world. There are customisations and modules available specifically for Australian businesses including the Australia Post shipping module as well as a huge number of other features.

We have used it extensively for the majority of eCommerce sites we have developed. We have customised it heavily required on some projects or used it pretty much as is on others. It is a feature rich system and integrates seamlessly with Joomla!

WordPress is an open source project with a huge fan base that keeps the system constantly updated. SugarCRM is an open source software solution that provides businesses with an easy way to manage relationships with their customers. The CRM software helps to standardise and automate the everyday activities of tracking customer interactions, building customer lists and in some cases can even handle customer problems.

SugarCRM is a hugely powerful system that needs to be seen to be believed. The front end features are incredible including the ability to track contacts, clients, leads, opportunities etc and report on each. The back-end area allows you to configure just about every aspect of the system using a smart and efficient AJAX interface.

Magento is a new e-commerce solution which caters to a wide range of businesses ranging from large scale enterprises to small business just starting out. It is full of features that allow the user to fully customise the look and feel of their online catalogue and comes packaged with online marketing tools and search engine optimisation (SEO) features. The Magento e-commerce system is backed by the OSL (Open Software License) and is an open source project that which means that it is constantly being refined and new features are always being added to the system.
